NASA’s new priorities favor ITT, Raytheon
The Fort Wayne operations of Raytheon Network Centric Systems and ITT Geospatial Systems are among the Indiana businesses likely to benefit from a new direction NASA is taking. The agency’s decision to focus on scientific research and turn most space transportation and logistics work over to the private sector could make more funding available for projects involving locally developed ITT satellite payloads and Raytheon situational awareness technology.

ITT Awarded Task Order to Support U.S. Military Prepositioned Equipment
Colorado Springs, Colo., March 4, 2010 – ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) has been awarded a contract to provide maintenance, supply and transportation services to the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps on Camp Arifjan and other locations in Southwest Asia. The award is a task order under the Field Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) contract vehicle, for one base year with four one-year options. The expected value of work completed in 2010 is approximately $45 million, with a total potential contract value of approximately $230 million with all options exercised.

ITT Selected to Build Critical Elements  for Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment  (OCX)
Rochester, N.Y., February 26, 2010 - ITT  Corporation  (NYSE:  ITT)  announced  that  it  has  been   selected  by  the  U.S.  Air  Force  Space  and  Missile  Systems  Center  as  part  of  the  Raytheon  Company   (NYSE:  RTN)  team  to  provide  components  and  services  for  the  next  generation  of  Global   Positioning  System  (GPS).  Under  the  contract  agreement,  ITT  will  provide  navigation  processing   components,  precision  monitor  station  receivers,  and  key  components  of  the  system  security   design  for  the  GPS  Advanced  Control  Segment  (OCX).

Face of Defense: Children Carry on Family's Military Tradition
WASHINGTON, Jan. 27, 2010 – While most parents carry around a tattered, wallet-sized photo or two of their kids, Mary Scott has about a dozen 8-by-10s ready for display. Upon request, she whips out her family portraits with the speed of a Wild West six-shooter. Her now-grown children are posed in various scenes outside, mostly clad in camouflage. All six of her children, she tells people with pride, are in the military. “My children are my heroes,” she said. “My husband and I always let them know how proud we are of them and how proud they should be.” Five of the Scotts’ children are in the Army, and one in the Air Force – and all are scattered throughout the world. This year, like many before, only half of her children made it home for the holidays, but she takes the separations in stride.
